PAO (Poker Academy Online) recently received a number of updates, including friends lists, a revised ratings page, and more server capacity. The update followed a 10 hour downtime but was well received by our users. Here is a quick run-through of the updates included.
The Players tab in the PAO lobby now supports searching for all players: online and offline. Each player can now be added to a friends group or shown in the ratings.
Each group can hold up to 11 players. This allows a very easy way to check which of your friends are online and one click to track their recent progress.
While Poker Academy Standard users are limited to one "Friends" list, Poker Academy Pro users have the ability to add multiple groups, with no current limit.
The Ratings page now features a trends graph over the past 14 days. Select the player above and below you to see their trends in the ongoing race to the top. Check out the unknown guy in the corner to see if he is on a nose-dive or hitting his stride.
Viewing players also easier; search in the ratings window, in the players tab, or even by right clicking on a player at the poker table.
The upper limit of the server has been moved well beyond the 400 cap formerly in place. We'll keep pushing this boundary as we ensure a quality to our online environment.
In addition, the server now gives priority to purchase versions of PA during peak periods. We hope these changes work to ensure our users get the fix they need.
A few colors were added to the lobby chat.
We will also begin to enforce proper languages on the proper channels: English on the English channel, and French on the French channel. This will allow users who want to hide a less understood or preferred language.
We have many more features in mind and look forward to improving the many other areas of PAO. We hope all of our users enjoy the recent updates and look forward to growing our excellent online community further.
