Prospector Help - Position Play

Position

A player is said to 'have position' when he or she is last to act during each betting round. Having watched what all other players at the table have done the last player to act has the most information to base their decisions on. The position tab allows you to see how you performed in each position.

As result of positional play, play percentage and net $ should increase as you move to the button. You can typically expect a loss in the small blind and big blind positions but should maintain no less than 25 BB/100 and 50 BB/100 respectively. Any less then this and it would be a better play to fold while in the blinds.

The tabular area of the tab, as shown above, provides detailed stats based on your position. The syntax used is the player's position relative to the button. For example, 'button-3' would be under the gun (first to act) on a 6 player table. Button-7, on the other hand would be under the gun (UTG) on a full 10 player table.
